Valve Selection
You need to consider the application requirements and then consider the valve characteristics necessary to meet those requirements. Valves must be selected for ability to meet temperature, pressure, flow control characteristics and piping connection requirements of your system. As connection types, we offer threaded, flanged, butt welded or socket welded options. For Y-Type valves that are smaller than DN50, our threaded or socket welded options are series 401; and butt welded and flanged options are series 301. For Y-Type valves that are bigger than DN50 we offer butt welded, flanged and threaded options as series 105. You can see all the models and their technical data sheets under the “Products” section of our website.
The specifications you need to consider while choosing the valve you need are;
- The model and the connection type of the valve
- Size of the valve
- Maximum pressure in your system
- Maximum fluid temperature in your system
- Minimum compressor pressure
- Type of the fluid (Liquid, Steam, Gas etc.)
- The control mechanism (Normally closed, Normally open, Double acting)
- Other additional accesories (Proximity Switch to check on&off positions, Stroke Limiter etc.)
